Evergreen Kissing Ball

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? 1 John 3:17

Oasis ball or a log which you shape by cutting into a ball
Greenery
Berries
Netting from grocery store fruit
Bow
Bow streamer
2 floral pins, for securing bow and streamers

Wet ball and shape. Put in a piece of netting. Pull up netting and tie making a hanger.
Start at the top and place greenery, shaping as you go. When finished, add the berries, top bow and streamers.

Christmas Mailbox

4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.
6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.
1 John 3:4-6

Bunch of evergreens from yard
Wet oasis
Wire
Netting from grocery store fruit
Bow
A length of fresh garland to wrap mailbox post.

Place wet oasis in an old piece of netting, the kind fruit comes in.
Use netting that has large openings.
Wire wet oasis to top of mailbox post.
Stick greenery into oasis.
Start with your large lengths of cedar or Christmas tree type material, doing sides first, then top.
Fill in with all different kinds of greenery.
I also used berries.
You can add pine cones, fruit, etc.
To finish off add a large bow with streamers.

Make Storage from Old Containers

Tea Bag Holder

Philemon 1:
4 I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers,
5 because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints,
6 and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.

Twine, I dyed mine with food coloring
Old sturdy container, I used a large coffee creamer can
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks

Cut the lengths of twine to wrap the can, keeping the ends that meet all together on the backside.
This creates a seam, it's not too attractive. I also used 2 different thickness of twine. I started from the top but got too close to the rim and my plastic lid wouldn't fit. Start at the top and work your way down, making sure your lid fits.

Dyed Twine Planter

John 15:17
These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

You can dye twine with food coloring and it's beautiful!
Put a few drops of color into enough water to cover twine.
I used green color.
It's hard to tell in the photo, but it's a pale green!
Soak twine until you get desired color.
Hot glue twine to a suitable planter!

Fun With Twine

Mark 11:
28 and they said to him, "By what authority are you doing these things, or who gave you this authority to do them?"
29 Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30 Was the baptism of John from heaven or from man? Answer me."

That's right, I said fun with twine!
You know that stuff you see at the hardware store!
I went to the dollar store and bought a plain old glass vase.
I also used empty wine bottles.
And I also used an old mirror and I wrapped them in twine, using hot glue to secure the twine.
Time consuming but so worth it!
I got someone to save a Patron bottle for me and I am going to do something to it, unsure what!

For Baby Lucy

Mark 2:17
And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

These rag wreaths take time to do but are not hard.
The amount of material you use depends on the size of your wreath.
I pin( really long pins with a head) my bunched up material to the wreath after I band the folded bottom to make the flower.
I use a styrofoam form, the extruded ones.

Satisfied

Deut. 30:14
But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.

I was not happy with the other spring wreath so I added some greenery. Wow, what a difference!!

Spring Wreath

Matt.20:
26 It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,
27 and whoever would be first among you must be your slave,
28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

So simple!

Grapevine wreath
1 flower, I used a burlap flower I found at Hobby Lobby

Christmas Wreath 2013

Matthew 8:
25 And they went and woke him, saying, "Save us, Lord; we are perishing."
26 And he said to them, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 And the men marveled, saying, "What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?"

1 grapevine wreath
Berry twigs
Burlap bow

So easy, so pretty!! No gluing, just stick twigs into wreath and adjust until you get the look you want!
