Matted Picture

Prov.1:2-9
2 To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight,
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity;
4 to give prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth--
5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,
6 to understand a proverb and a saying, the words of the wise and their riddles.
7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
8 Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching,
9 for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.

This is a fun project! Buy a pre-cut mat, use an old frame or a new one, dried flowers (needs to be sort of flat flowers), mat board, hot glue, raffia for tying the tiny bundles and to seal the back use white duck tape!  You can also do these in windows for a different look!

For Baby Harper

Luke 12:25
25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

This is for baby Harper! By accident, I bought a 16 inch foam extruded base, which in turn, made me have to buy more material and pins. I think I ended up using 5 yds.  Save your left over material squares and you can make a multi fabric wreath!

Pine Cone Candle Ring

Isaiah 40:8

8 The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.

Choose the size candle and ring you want to use. I used these flat rings I bought from Michael's. I got small pine cones from the yard, cleaned the dirt off and sprayed with a matte sealer I got from Wal Mart. Let dry completely, then glue to the ring. I bought some colored moss from Hobby Lobby and hot glued around the pine cones. The candle must fit the opening! I made ones for Christmas and glued red berries between the pine cones.
